This Privacy Policy explains how CityPros (“CityPros,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the CityPros mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and password. You may also sign in using a third-party provider, in which case we receive basic profile information from that provider.
- Profile information. Details you choose to add to your profile, such as your photo, job title, company, industry, interests, and the city you are networking in.
- Usage information. Information about how you interact with the Service, including matches, messages, events, and features you use.
- Device and technical information. Information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and general location derived from your IP address or device settings.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us for support, feedback, or other inquiries.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Match you with relevant people, communities, and events in your city;
- Create and manage your account;
- Communicate with you, including sending service-related and, where permitted, promotional messages;
- Personalize your experience and develop new features and content;
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Service;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With other users. Your profile information is shared with other users as part of the matching and networking features of the Service.
- With service providers. We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and customer support, under obligations to protect your information.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CityPros, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
5. Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
- In the app. Open CityPros and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then follow the prompts to confirm.
- By email. Send a request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, and we will process your deletion request.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain data for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these rights directly within the app or by contacting us at [email protected].
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as appropriate.
