We collect information that helps us personalize your experience and connect you with the right professionals in your city. This includes profile information like your name, professional role, industry, city, experience stage, goals, company details, and profile photo.
Additionally, we track usage data to help us improve your CityPros experience. This includes information about the groups you join, events you attend, connections you make, matches you interact with, and messages you send. This information helps us refine our matching algorithm and suggest relevant opportunities.
We also collect device and technical data, such as your device type, operating system, and push notification tokens. These tokens allow us to deliver event reminders, match notifications, and connection requests directly to your device.
Importantly, all data is scoped to your city. CityPros does not share or combine data across cities—your information stays within your local professional community.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to power your CityPros experience. We never sell your information to third parties, and we never use it for advertising outside the app.
Data Security
Security is woven into the architecture of CityPros. All data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS)—every user can only access data they are authorized to see.
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Profile information is only visible to other authenticated users in your city—public profiles do not exist.
Non-connected users see limited profile information; full profiles are only visible to confirmed connections. This ensures that your personal and professional details remain protected.
Access to production data is strictly limited to authorized team members who require it to maintain and improve the platform.
Your Rights & Choices
You maintain full control over your personal information. You can update or delete your profile information at any time from within the app.
You can control all notification types individually in your app settings—connection requests, event reminders, group activity, and weekly match summaries. You decide what you hear about and when.
You can request a full export of your personal data by contacting support@citypros.com.
You can request permanent account deletion at any time. All personal data will be removed within 30 days.
CityPros is GDPR compliant. Users in the European Union have full rights to access, rectify, and erase their data.
